The 1999 Royal Tournament at London's Earls Court was the last in the show's long and distinguished history.

For 120 glorious years, the Royal Tournament provided a spectacular and inspiring showcase for the finest British military traditions. Includes the last ever Royal Navy field gun competition, including behind the scenes footage.

This official film of the final Royal Tournament captures, in 2 hours, all the action, music and spectacle that made it so very special.

Filmed by BBC camera crews, recorded in Hi-Fi stereo and featuring exclusive material not seen on the television.

Run time 120 minutes approx.

Price - only £14.99 per DVD including worldwide postage and packaging

At last I have found a blog, where I can say I was there, I will never ever forget the emotion of that evening, I take the pride of witnessing this event to my grave, and a great shame it ended, as it was the first and obviously the last time I saw the tounament :(

Saw this yournament in 1998 while on foreign assingment for Ford. We sat in front of the Royal Box and still remeber the "1812 Overture" being played . Our seats made us feel like the whole thing was for our entertainment because of the proximty to The Royals. Since this is 11 years later, it's easy to see that we remeber the evening with great fondness. The Henrys, Berkley, MI. USA

I had the privilege to run at Earls Court as a member of the Devonport Field Gun Crew in 68 & 71. I was also there in 72 as Field Gun Battery Yeoman.
The cancelling of the Tournament was the action of some penny pinching imbeciles in Government at the time and was and remains, nothing short of lunacy on there part.
Ther has never been a finer showcase for the superb men and women of our Miltary. A wonderful place for the public to pay their respects to the amazing job all our armed forces are carrying out in theatres of conflict around the world.
BRING BACK THE ROYAL TOURNAMENT !
